Достичь этих показателей удалось во многом благодаря хорошим продажам мобильных телефонов и компьютерных чипов памяти. Чистая прибыль в июле-сентябре достигла рекордного уровня в $7,76 млрд. <br /><br />"Продажи смартфонов за квартал выросли более чем на 10 процентов, по сравнению с кварталом годом ранее. Продажи планшетных компьютеров выросли более чем на 20 процентов ", сказал Ким Хен Чжун, вице-президент мобильного подразделения Samsung, в ходе телефонной конференции для инвесторов.<br /><br />Наибольший рост компания Samsung получила в полупроводниковом бизнесе. Прибыль от продажи чипов памяти увеличились на 12 %, в основном за счет увеличения цен и увеличения продаж продукции с высокой добавленной стоимостью – DRAM для мобильных устройств / серверов / новых игровых консолей.<br /><br />Наиболее неудачливым оказался дисплейный и телевизионный бизнес Samsung, в итоге 12-процентное падение прибыли по продажам дисплеев, по сравнению с аналогичным кварталом предыдущего года. И 18-процентное падение прибыли в секторе потребительской электроники.<br /><br />Продажи техники, в частности, оказались слабыми из-за замедления роста на развивающихся рынках. Средние отпускные цены на крупногабаритные телевизоры снизились в связи с усилением конкуренции на развитых рынках. Несмотря на лидерство Samsung по добавленной стоимости в цене телевизоров, рыночные перспективы остаются туманными.
