Президент Sony, Казуо Хираи заявил в недавнем интервью в Японии, что, благодаря продажам 4K Ultra HD TV, телевизионное подразделение компании, наконец, начинает давать постепенно увеличивающуюся прибыль.<br /><br />Хотя подробных результатов еще нет (надо ждать следующего квартального отчета), Казуо Хираи, говорил о повороте, который должен принести положительные результаты. Эти результаты  достигнуты благодаря рационализации расходов и, прежде всего, благодаря хорошим продажам Ultra HD 4K телевизоров Sony Bravia серий X8 и X9.<br /><br />Хираи заявил, что основными приоритетами для Sony в ближайшем будущем являются: расширение модельного ряда телевизоров, особенно Ultra HD и агрессивное продвижение своих смартфонов, для того, чтобы расширить свою долю рынка в Европе, вместо того, чтобы сохранять уже завоеванные позиции на отечественном рынке.
