Японская компания TDK разрабатывает технологию, которая позволит вмещать на такой же диск до 30 – 40 терабайт, правда достичь такого уровня результатов компания обещает примерно к 2020 году.<br /><br /><div align="center"><!--dle_image_begin:http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2013-10/1381664177_tdk2.jpg|--><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2013-10/1381664177_tdk2.jpg" alt="TDK сможет делать жесткие диски на 40 терабайт" title="TDK сможет делать жесткие диски на 40 терабайт"  /><!--dle_image_end--></div><br /><br />Сейчас TDK сотрудничает с компанией Seagate Technology и уже во второй половине 2015 года должна выпустить на рынок первый накопитель на основе новой технологии.<br /><br />Особенностью технологии новых жестких дисков TDK является использование в дополнение к принципу магнитной записи теплового нагрева. Локального и быстрого подогрева участков записи компания будет добиваться с помощью луча лазера.
