Судя по последним сообщениям, возобновляемые съемки эпизода VII будут вновь выполнены с использованием пленочных камер. <br /><br />Режиссер VII эпизода Джеффри Джейкоб Абрамс заявляет, что сделано это с тем ", чтобы передать поклонникам саги атмосферу и подлинность первой трилогии." Этот режиссер уже неоднократно заявлял о нежелании использовать цифровые камеры для воссоздания Зведных войн. Последний фильм "Star Trek - Into Darkness" также снят на 35 мм пленку.<br /><br />Следующий фильм будет сниматься на камеры IMAX с 65 мм пленкой и только для некоторых наиболее эффектных сцен будут использованы цифровые камеры.
