Новые чипы будут использоваться в телевизорах и другой видеотехнике с поддержкой разрешения видео UHD 4K 50/60р. <br /><br />HDMI 2.0 значительно увеличит пропускную способность до 18 ГБ/c и позволяет по стандартному кабелю передавать видео в разрешении 4K (2160p), что в 4 раза превышает широко распространенное Full HD (1080p). <br /><br />Новые микросхемы Panasonic выпускаются в двух версиях - MN864777 (размер корпуса 24,0 х 24,0 мм) и MN864778 (размер корпуса 20,0 х 20,0 мм). Они поддерживает функцию уменьшения электромагнитных помех, используют фирменную высокоскоростную дифференциальную технологию Panasonic для повышения качественных характеристик передачи сигналов. MN864777 также имеет  для Full HD сигналов функцию повышения разрешения  до 4К. <br /><br />Panasonic начал массовое производство и продажи новых микроcхем для интерфейса HDMI 2.0 с  этого месяца, с ежемесячным выпуском более 1 млн. штук.
