Для 55-ти и 65-дюймовой версии потребуется лишь бесплатная замена прошивки (встроенного программного обеспечения). Модель с экраном 84 дюйма также может быть обновлена, но потребует вмешательства специалистов сервисного центра для замены платы.<br /><br />Можно надеяться, что даже относительно давно выпускаемые 4К проекторы серии VW1000 смогут быть обновлены путем аппаратной доработки.<br />Таким образом, Sony сдержала свое слово перед покупателями, когда в начале нынешнего года заявила о уже предусмотренной компанией поддержке будущего интерфейса HDMI 2.0, что произошло после того, как отстававшая на старте Ultra HD гонки компания Samsung предупредила покупателей об «ущербности» первых продаваемых моделей Ultra HD телевизоров, именно в связи с отсутствием поддержки HDMI 2.0 (тогда еще не принятого).
