С точки зрения доли рынка, доходы Toshiba от производства телевизоров сегодня определенно попадают в категорию «другие». По мнению NPD DisplaySearch в 2012 году на Samsung приходилось почти 28 % мировых поставок телевизоров, затем идет LG с 15 %, а группировка Sony, Panasonic, Sharp в сумме имеет 19 %.<br /><br />Таким образом, остается 38 % для группы третьего эшелона, в которую входят в основном китайские компании с каждым годом расширяющие свое присутствие на рынке. В последний раз Toshiba имела существенную долю рынка около двух лет назад, когда она захватила 7 % мирового ТВ бизнеса.
