Официальное объявление будет сделано в ближайшее время», - сообщил высокопоставленный представитель LG, участвующий в переговорах. Пресс-секретарь LG Юн Вон Ир отказался подтвердить факт переговоров. <br /><br />Для расширения продаж 3D техники LG заинтересована в появлении новых видеоматериалов  доступных на экранах телевизоров компании. Партнерские отношения с голливудскими студиями также помогут LG обеспечивать более прочную основу для своей смарт-платформы. <br />Квон Хи Вон, возглавляющий телевизионный бизнес LG, сказал ранее в этом году, что компания заинтересована в альянсах с контент-провайдерами, чтобы продвигать свою собственную смарт-платформу телевидения.<br /><br />LG ожидает, что мировые продажи веб-подключенных телевизоров более чем вдвое увеличатся в этом году, они составляют 10 процентов от всей ТВ продукции на рынке. Однако завышенная стоимость не позволяет таким телевизорам стать основой ТВ рынка и трудно сказать, будут ли цены падать в ближайшее время.  Покупая такие модели покупатель как бы косвенно оплачивает все партнерские связи с контент-провайдерами. Кроме того на рынке появляется все больше разнообразных адаптеров и медиаплееров, способных обеспечить телевизор разнообразными видеоматериалами.
