Для сравнения, год назад за этот период компания получила $1,2 млрд. убытков.<br /><br />Sharp считает, что увеличению доходов способствовали слабые позиции иены, рост продаж смартфонов, рост поставок ЖК панелей IGZO, а также модулей камер для других производителей. <br /><br />Хотя финансовые результаты позволяют прогнозировать $51 млн. прибыли за весь финансовый год, компания по-прежнему имеет серьезные проблемы и  планирует сократить 5000 рабочих мест в течение ближайших трех лет. Sharp необходимо погасить полученные от банков кредиты на сумму в $1 млрд. <br />
