Группа, состоящая из пяти контент-провайдеров опередила, таким образом японских конкурентов. Первоначальная дата запуска Ultra HD телевидения была установлена к началу следующего года. Прямым следствием этого является предположение, что регулярные передачи также начнутся раньше, чем ожидалось, т. е. в следующем, а не в 2015 году.<br /><br />Кабельные операторы планируют инвестировать к 2017 году в общей сложности около 720 млрд. вон (чуть меньше половины миллиарда евро) в развитие трансляционной сети Ultra HD TV, с 50 млрд.  бюджетом уже в этом году и 160 млрд. в 2014 году.<br />
