Уже этим летом владельцы 4K Ultra HD телевизоров Sony в США смогут получить в достаточно широком ассортименте 4K фильмы, используя для этого специальный медиаплеер от Sony. Технология eyeIO сжимает и кодирует  исходные файлы 4K разрешения в формат, который требует значительно меньшей полосы пропускания, позволяет более эффективно передавать видеофайлы и экономит память на устройствах хранения.<br /><br />Видеоматериалы, сжатые с использованием eyeIO, позволяют воспроизводить 4K Ultra HD (3840х2160) с поддержкой расширенной цветовой гаммы (xvYCC). Первоначально будут доступны фильмы Los Angeles, The Bridge on the River Kwai, The Karate Kid (2010 год), Salt, Taxi Driver, That?s My Boy, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Other Guys и Total Recall (2012 год).<br />
