Две новых ЖК панели отличаются высокой плотностью пикселей при минимальном энергопотреблении, что очень важно для портативных устройств. 10,1-дюймовый дисплей с разрешением 2560 х 1600 пикселей предназначен для будущих планшетов Samsung, а 13,3-дюймовый экран с беспрецедентным разрешением 3200 х 1800 пикселей будет устанавливаться в компактные ноутбуки. Заявленная плотность пикселей на экране будет составлять 275 ppi (пикселей на дюйм).<br /><br />По сравнению с существующими панелями такой же диагонали потребление энергии источниками LED подсветки сокращено примерно на 30%. Массовое производства этих новых панелей Samsung уже началась и ожидается, что к концу года появятся продукты с новыми 10,1 и 13,3-дюймовыми более экономичными ЖК панелями Samsung. Компания также объявила о предстоящем выпуске подобных 14 и 15,6-дюймовых ЖК панелей с разрешением 3200 х 1800 пикселей.<br />
