По итогам завершившегося финансового года Pioneer продемонстрировала рост консолидированных продаж на 3,5 %. При этом в некоторых подразделениях были проблемы с реализацией. Например, плохо раскупались оптические диски и автомобильные навигационные системы на потребительском рынке, тогда как продажи навигационного оборудования авто производителям удалось увеличить.<br /><br />Pioneer, как и многие другие японские компании сегодня вынуждена проводить жесткую политику реструктуризации с продажей непрофильных мощностей и сокращением избыточного персонала. Часть предприятий придется вывести за пределы Японии, в страны юго-восточной Азии, где можно использовать более дешевую рабочую силу. В Японии будут производиться только флагманские продукты.<br /><br />Pioneer рассматривает возможность снижения затрат на разработку новой продукции за счет внедрения метода модульного проектирования. Ожидая при этом сокращения на 20 % времени разработки и в последующем на 10 % времени производства.<br /><br />Компания Pioneer намерена пережить трудные времена в сотрудничестве с отечественными компаниями NTT Docomo и Mitsubishi Electric, для вовлечения которых в бизнес Pioneer будут выпущены дополнительные акции на право владения собственностью Pioneer в долях 7,5% и 6,9 %.<br />Pioneer намерена и будущем сохранить высокую долю продукции, ориентированной для рынка потребительской электроники и автомобильных  аудиосистем, осваивая при этом вновь возникающие потребности.
