SHV является средством телевещания, которое позволит зрителю почувствовать себя участником событий, благодаря увеличенному в 16 раз количеству пикселей на экране и 22-х канальному звуку.<br /><br />Японская государственная вещательная компании NHK продолжает развивать свои собственные стандартные решения для телевидения "Super Hi-Vision" с разрешение 7680 х 4320 пиксел, теперь уже на основе недавно принятого международного стандарта H.265 / HEVC. Благодаря сотрудничеству с Mitsubishi был разработан первый аппаратный кодер H.265 / HEVC, предназначенный для кодирования в режиме реального времени видеоматериалов в формате 8K. Кодер делит кадры на 17 полос и выполняет одновременное кодирование в стандарте H.265 всех полос с глубиной цвета до 10 бит, до 60 кадров в секунду. <br /><br /><div align="center"><!--dle_image_begin:http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2013-05/1368259627_nhk2.jpg|--><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2013-05/1368259627_nhk2.jpg" alt="NHK и Mitsubishi: HEVC кодер для ТВ с разрешением 8K" title="NHK и Mitsubishi: HEVC кодер для ТВ с разрешением 8K"  /><!--dle_image_end--></div><br /><br />В настоящее время не ясно, какая при этом потребуется скорость передачи по цифровому каналу, NHK просто констатирует, что с новым алгоритмом обработки изображения объем передаваемых данных сокращается вдвое, по сравнению с эквивалентным кодированием в формате H.264 (для которого при частоте кадров 120 Гц потребуется около 500 Мбит/c). NHK уже работает с Mitsubishi над следующей задачей: кодер для кодирования HEVC 8K с частотой  120 кадров в секунду. <br /><br />Одно можно сказать наверняка, для многих из нас, с учетом существующей инфраструктуры интернета и отсутствия необходимых дисплеев, потоковый контент с разрешением "Super Hi-Vision" по-прежнему мираж, даже в случае воспроизведения со стационарного медиаплеера.<br />
