Первоначально будет представлено 10 дисков с наклейкой  "Снято в 4К", затем еще 5 дисков в течение ближайших месяцев.<br />Эти фильмы были сняты в разрешении 4K, обработаны в таком же разрешении, а затем разрешение понижено до 2К (1080p), чтобы фильм мог поместиться на стандартном Blu-Ray диске.<br /><br /><div align="center"><!--dle_image_begin:http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2013-04/1366905743_sony2.jpg|--><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2013-04/1366905743_sony2.jpg" alt="Sony готовит «4K Blu-Ray» фильмы" title="Sony готовит «4K Blu-Ray» фильмы"  /><!--dle_image_end--></div><br /><br />Диски могут читаться на обычных Blu-Ray-плеерах и воспроизводиться на экранах стандартных HDTV, но Sony заявляет, что такие Blu-ray диски будут оптимизированы для 4K Ultra HD телевизоров и даже предлагает сюрприз - они будут выглядеть лучше на телевизорах Sony, из-за лучшего соответствия цветового баланса.<br /><br />В Sony не смогли подтвердить полный перечень фильмов, но из того что видно на коробках это: Total Recall and Ghostbusters, Battle Los Angeles, Moneyball, Taxi Driver, The Amazing Spider-man, The Other Guys и The Karate Kid.
