Используемые сегодня в съемочных камерах сенсоры оснащают цветными фильтрами (красный, зеленый, синий), которые поглощают 50-70% света.<br /><br />Panasonic вместо фильтров применяет специальные преломляющие системы (дефлекторы), которые могут использоваться с любыми типами производимых сегодня сенсоров  CCD (ПЗС), CMOS (КМОП), или BSI.<br /><br />Для видеообработки результатов работы системы преломления также разработан новый метод вычисления, работающий в 325 раз быстрее традиционного и требующий при этом лишь 1/16 часть памяти.<br /><br />В частности разработчики сообщают следующее.<br />"Можно использовать различные комбинации дефлекторов. Например, можно увеличить отношение сигнал / шум с помощью четырех дефлекторов. Можно использовать одну комбинацию для мобильных приложений, а другую для камер видеонаблюдения. С этого момента, мы собирается заняться исследованием различных систем для реальных применений».<br />
