Популярное оформление дисплея в виде сплошной   плоской лицевой поверхности представлено в расширенном варианте, когда плоскость экрана продолжается до самого пола. Впрочем, особой оригинальности здесь нет, подобные мотивы  в прошлом году уже демонстрировала дизайнерская мысль от компании Bang & Olufsen, да и нынешний Ultra HD телевизор Samsung S9 имеет похожий внешний вид, только в пустой снизу рамке.<br /><br />К телевизорам Philips DesignLine будет добавляться еще и система Ambilight для цветовой фоновой подсветки окружающего пространства.<br /><br />Род Уайт, старший креативный директор дизайн-подразделения по разработке телевизоров Philips в компании TP Vision говорит:<br />«Мы сосредоточились на разработке телевизора с самым передовым функционалом, но при этом идеально дополняющего интерьер жилого дома,  и нам удалось создать мечту в стеклянном корпусе».
