В четвертом квартале 2012 года, впервые за последние семь лет, компания LG смогла превзойти своих соотечественников по объему продаваемых на мировом рынке ЖК панелей.<br /><br />По данным доклада DisplaySearch, в четвертом квартале 2012 года LG контролировала 28% рынка ЖК панелей, а Samsung – 25,1%. LG сумела превзойти конкурента, после того как подписала контракты на поставку своих ЖК панелей для новых телевизоров Sony и Panasonic. Если Panasonic ранее производила собственные ЖК панели, то Sony долгое время ранее была партнером Samsung. <br /><br />LG сегодня поставляет значительную долю ЖК панелей для гаджетов Apple, продемонстрировавших взрывное распространение во всем мире за несколько последних лет.
