Эта операционная система, изначально разработанная для смартфонов, будет использована для нового поколения смарт-телевизоров LG и не планируется использование WebOS в смартфонах компании. <br /><br />WebOS может стать даже частью грандиозной инициативы в виде унифицированной смарт-платформы, для создания которой учрежден альянс, в составе которого LG занимает ключевую роль и в который входят также Philips, Panasonic, Bang & Olufsen, Sharp, Toshiba и Loewe. LG говорит, что группа разработчиков WebOS является основным мотором новой лаборатории в Кремниевой долине, Калифорния.
