Причиной данного решения стал серьезный спад в продажах. Так продажи пультов упали на 55%, выручка снизилась на 24%, после того как компания решила продвигать более дорогие пульты Logitech Harmony с сенсорным экраном.<br /><br />Предвестником данного события можно считать оказавшееся неудачным участие в проекте Google TV. Разработанные Logitech пульт управления и беспроводная клавиатура для первых Google телевизоров оказались мало востребованными, как и сами телевизоры. Сегодня Google продвигает очередной, уже третий вариант своего проекта с другими партнерами.
