Предполагается, что микросхема будет сделана на основе архитектуры 4-х ядерного ARM процессора с низким энергопотреблением и теоретически сможет впоследствии использоваться в планшетных компьютерах.<br /><br />Видеодекодер с поддержкой UltraHD разрешения BCM7445, выполненный по 28-нанометровому технологическому процессу,  будет выступать в качестве основного домашнего шлюза, обеспечивая транскодирование и пропускную способность домашней сети с поддержкой широкого спектра приложений, таких как видео по запросу, игры, социальные сети и магазин веб-приложений.  Таковы перспективные планы компании,  насколько они будут востребованы, покажет время.<br /><br />Broadcom планирует начать массовое производство где-то в 2014 году.<br />
