Он будет пока работать в демонстрационном режиме.  Специально подготовленные для трансляции видеоматериалы будут сжиматься, используя стандарт MPEG4 при скорости видеопотока 40 Мбит / с, кадровой частоте 50 кадров в секунду.<br /><br />Eutelsat ожидает, что Ultra-HD телевизоры со сверхвысоким разрешением станут более распространенными к 2015 году. И достаточно серьезной проблемой в среднесрочной перспективе становится задача обеспечения их соответствующими телепрограммами через существующие наземные системы трансляции телесигналов. Передача через спутник становится более удобной.<br /><br />Увеличению популярности Ultra HDTV должно способствовать предстоящее внедрение нового стандарта сжатия – HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding).<br />
