Новая стеклянная композиция Gorilla Glass 3 улучшена на молекулярном уровне с помощью технологии Corning "Native Damage Resistance", которая на 40% снизит количество повреждений дисплея в виде царапин и на 50% повысит прочность, в сравнении с существующими защитными стеклянными покрытиями Corning.<br /><br />Gorilla Glass является торговой маркой производимого в США листового стекла. Первое поколение стекла Gorilla Glass использовалось с первыми дисплеями iPhone. К 2010 году Gorilla Glass устанавливалось примерно на 20% выпускаемых во всем мире дисплеев мобильных устройств.<br /><br />На выставке Consumer Electronics Show, американская компания Corning, как ожидается, продемонстрирует также свои достижения в волоконно-оптических технологиях, позволяющих расширить возможности и увеличить скорость передачи данных по волоконно-оптическим кабелям.
