Хотя, недавно компания IBM заявила, что планарные транзисторы будут жить до освоения рубежа в 10 нм.<br /><br />Несколько ранее о планах производства 14 нм FinFET чипов объявила тайваньская компания TSMC. Таким образом, эти компании по технологическим возможностям догоняют Intel, которая долгое время была практически единственным передовым локомотивом в процессе снижения размеров технологических норм в производстве полупроводниковых чипов.
