А недавно Sony, IMAX и Discovery создали новое подразделение 3Net Studios, которое ставит своей целью создание и распространение в мировом масштабе телепрограмм, фильмов и видеосюжетов в 3D и 2D форматах для телевизоров нового поколения с поддержкой сверхвысокого разрешения 4K (UHDTV) и обычных HDTV. Придумано даже общее название для производимой студией продукции высокого разрешения - "TotalD".
