Эта технология позволяет создавать оптически более прозрачные ЖК панели с более плотной «упаковкой» пикселей при пониженном энергопотреблении (на 25% меньше в активном режиме и до 4 раз в режиме ожидания). Традиционный сенсорный слой дисплей, как правило, требует постоянного притока электроэнергии, а в дисплее IGZO он активируется лишь при касании экрана. Дисплеи IGZO позволяют улучшить точность сенсорного управления.<br /><br />Водонепроницаемый, пылезащищенный 7 дюймовый планшет Sharp SHT21обладает разрешением дисплея 1280х800 пикселей, использует двух ядерный процессор Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 с тактовой частотой 1,5 ГГц. Объем оперативной памяти 1 ГБ, встроенная память 16 ГБ (расширяемая через слот micro SDHC).  Sharp SHT21 поддерживает Android 4.0: Ice Cream Sandwich. Емкость аккумулятора –3460 мАч.
