Именно столько времени прошло после изобретения специалистами Toshiba в 1987 году технологии энергонезависимой NAND Flash памяти, которая сегодня используется, можно сказать, повсеместно.<br /><br />Вот основные этапы развития NAND Flash технологии Toshiba:<br />• 1987 год: изобретение NAND флэш-памяти – технология представлена  Toshiba на конференции IEEE International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM).<br />• 1999 год: Matsushita, SanDisk и Toshiba представили SD карты.<br />• 2001 год: представлен первый серийно производимый чип флэш-памяти на 1 гигабит.<br />• 2009 год: Toshiba представила в миниатюрном корпусе 32 гигабитные чипы с тремя битами на ячейку.<br /><br />Совсем недавно Toshiba представила новую серию FlashAir – карт памяти формата SDHC для цифровых камер, которые включают встроенный беспроводной интерфейс для непосредственной передачи снятого материала через интернет. Компания также выпустила первые карты MicroSDHC в высокопроизводительной линейке продуктов EXCERIA и продолжает лидировать в разработке новых продуктов по изобретенной 25 лет назад технологии.<br />
