А начиналось  все в 1912 году с обычной пряжки для ремня – "Токубиджо", которую запатентовал и начал производить основатель компании г-н Токуджи.<br /><br />Дальнейшее развитие шло по нарастающей  кривой. В апреле 1925 года Токуджи вместе с коллегами вошли в историю, собрав первое в Японии радио.   <br /><br />В 1961 году Sharp разработала первую в Японии микроволновую печь и стала первой компанией, массово производящей микроволновые печи. <br /><br />В 1963 году компания Sharp организует массовое производство солнечных элементов, разработка которых началась в 1959 году.<br /><br />В 1973 году Sharp разработала первый в мире калькулятор с ЖК дисплеем – EL-805, который стал первым продуктом с использованием ЖК технологии.<br /><br />Первый мобильный телефон со встроенной фотокамерой сделала компания Sharp. Было это в 2000 году, а разрешение камеры было 110 К пикселей.<br /><br />Цветные ЖК телевизоры компания Sharp начала производить с 2001 года, они выгодно отличались в то время самой высокой яркостью 450 кд и оригинальным дизайном.<br /><br />В 2010 году Sharp представляет серию ЖК телевизоров AQUOS Quattron, впервые в мире созданных с применением технологии четырех основных цветов (Quattron) и 3D технологии с активными затворными очками.<br /><br />В 2012 году компания Sharp представила самый большой в мире ЖК LED телевизор LC-90LE745 с диагональю экрана 90" (229 см). <br /><br />В России данная модель телевизора появится в продаже в 2013 году.
