Новая система Aixtron будет введена в эксплуатацию в течение ближайших нескольких недель и предназначена для производства гибких электронных устройств нового поколения путем осаждения органического полимера на тонкие пленки. Размер подложек классифицируется, как Gen-3.5 (650 x 750 мм).<br />Aixtron не раскрыл название компании заказчика, но объявил, что оборудование позволяет производить гибкие, легкие и прочные OLED дисплеи, обладающие низким энергопотреблением при отличных показателях по цвету и четкости.<br /><br />Судя по тому, что Samsung уже оснастил свое производство оборудованием для изготовления гибких дисплеев, наиболее вероятным заказчиком Aixtron можно считать компанию LG.<br />
