Новый кабель, предназначенный для передачи на дальние расстояния высококачественного видеосигнала  высокого разрешения, выполнен на основе тонких оптоволоконных жил. Для преобразования электрических сигналов в оптические используются размещенные внутри разъемов миниатюрные преобразователи.<br /><br />Длинные  и тонкие оптические кабели Hitachi обеспечивают передачу цифровых сигналов на расстояние до 100 метров. Диаметр кабеля 5,9 мм, а длина 20, 30, 50, 70 и 100 метров. Разъемы имеют размеры 45 х 12 х 19 мм (ДхТхШ). Энергопотребление активных преобразователей в кабеле составляет менее 140 милливатт.<br />
