WiFi Miracast представляет собой Wi-Fi Direct с добавлением новых функций, таких как Intel WiDi. Устройства с поддержкой WiFi Miracast смогут напрямую общаться друг другом, без необходимости подключения к общей сети через точку доступа, что, несомненно, в отдельных случаях более удобно. Устройства с поддержкой Miracast смогут отправлять видео непосредственно с одного устройства на другое, или дублировать изображение ноутбука, например, на проектор или телевизор. <br /><br />Технические условия для производства видео/аудио техники с поддержкой Wi-Fi Miracast будут готовы к августу, в конце года и в начале следующего можно ждать продуктов с этикеткой Wi-Fi Miracast. О поддержке Miracast в своих новых чипах уже заявила известная американская компания Texas Instrument.<br />
