Все представляемые на конкурс HDTV предварительно настраиваются опытными специалистами и сравниваются с помощью серии тестов перед аудиторией специалистов, журналистов, видео-энтузиастов и покупателей. После суммирования поданных голосов Panasonic VT50 получила одни из самых высоких оценок со значениями выше 9 из 10 баллов в четырех из пяти категорий, из которых наиболее важное значение черного цвета, контрастности и цветопередачи. Второе место досталось компании Samsung, 64-дюймовая модель PN64E8000 получила самую высокую оценку в тесте на динамическое разрешение. <br />Третье место занял прошлогодний победитель – ЖК LED телевизор Sharp Elite Pro-60X5FD, который получил высшие оценки в категориях контрастности и уровня черного.
