На заводе компании в японском городе  Himeji будет запущена в опытно-промышленную эксплуатации линия по производству OLED панелей с размерами более 32 дюймов (6-Gen). Вместе с тем компания не заявляет о массовом производстве OLED телевизоров, так как пока не ясно насколько они будут востребованы покупателем при достаточно высокой стоимости первого поколения таких HDTV.<br /><br />В конце прошлого года сообщалось, что Panasonic намеревается освоить на этом заводе производство более крупных OLED панелей (8,5 Gen). Производственные линии на OLED заводах LG и Samsung классифицируются как 8 Gen.<br />
