Компания сразу же заявляет о своем лидерстве, имея во всем мире 20000 сотрудников и 5 производственных мощностей, уставной капитал на 100% принадлежит Samsung Electronics. <br /><br />На церемонии посвященной началу работы новой компании ее президент заявил: "Постоянно оставаясь на шаг впереди наших конкурентов, мы можем сделать нашу компанию самым лучшим производителем дисплеев на рынке ". Судя по логотипу пока изменилось немногое, как будет дальше покажет время.<br /><br />Конкурент Samsung – компания LG выделила дисплейный бизнес в отдельную компанию с 1999 года, которая первоначально была совместным предприятием с Philips,  пока в 2008 году компания Philips не продала все свои акции.
