Новинка выполнена на базе набирающей все большую популярность архитектуры ARM и включает дополнительное графическое ядро, которое будет заниматьяс в работающем телевизоре видеобработкой скачиваемого из домашней сети и  интернета видео и графики. <br /><br />Newman Ultra упростит разработчикам телевизоров реализацию всех необходимых для смарт телевизора интерфейсов, организацию видеоконференцсвязи, доступ к потоковым и игровым видеосервисам, магазинам приложений, социальным  сетям. Подготовленное для нового чипа специальное программное обеспечение позволит независимым разработчикам cоздавать новые приложения для скачивая их из сети и запуска на экранах телевизоров.<br /><br />Первые образцы чипов Newman Ultra будут для предоставлены некоторым партнерам компании ST Microelectronics уже в в первом квартале этого года, но массовые поставки на сборочные заводы могут начаться не ранее четвертого квартала.
