Современные ЖК дисплеи светятся за счет внутреннего источника подсветки, который потребляет достаточно много энергии. Исключением являют монохромные ЖК индикаторы, как в калькуляторах и часах и "электронная" бумага. Они работают за счет отражаемого светового потока и практически не потребляют энергию, позволяя работать без подзарядки годы или, по крайней мере, месяцы.<br /><br />Дисплей Qualcomm поддерживает разрешение 1024 x 768 при размере  5,7 дюймов, плотности  пиксел 223 ppi. Компания Kyobo производит и продает в Южной Корее на основе нового дисплея и процессора Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 (с тактовой частотиой 1 ГГц) электронную книгу. При использовании такого ридера только для чтения одной зарядки аккумуляторов может хватить на три недели. <br />
