Начало продаж компания LG первоначально планировала во втором квартале 2012 года. Однако в связи с тем, что Samsung собирается начать продажи OLED телевизоров перед летней Олимпиадой, LG также намерена ускорить предложение покупателю своих моделей.<br /><br />Телевизоры со светоизлучающими пикселями на основе OLED источников обладают намного более быстрым временем отклика, более широкими углами обзора, более высоким коэффициентом контрастности и более яркими и насыщенными цветами. При этом конструкция получается более легкой, тонкой и менее энергопотребляющей.<br /><br />С другой стороны OLED производство пока не очень рентабельно. LG предупреждает о заоблачных ценах.
