А до этого бывшие соотечественники и нынешние соседи пробовали внедрить первый вариант стандарта DVB-T. Но что-то не заладилось у государственной компании "Украинская цифровая телесеть". Зато все пошло как маслу после того, как права на цифровизацию украинского ТВ получила неизвестная компания Зеонбуд, которая быстро нашла средства на закупку 700 передатчиков у немецкой компании Rohde&Schwarz  и возможности установки их на переполненные государственные телевышки. <br /><br />Правда, не обошлось и без скандалов. Некоторым телезрителям не нравится, что учредителями Зеонбуд являются нынешние и бывшие представители власти и их родственники. Хотя провайдер "Зеонбуд" еще не завершил перевод Украины на DVB-T2, антимонопольный комитет Украины начал расследование деятельности компании. Поводом послужило обращение независимой ассоциации вещателей о нарушении антимонопольного законодательства при распределении прав телевещания. Сообщается также, что тарифы Зеонбуда для региональных компаний в 4-5 раз превышают обоснованные.
