После скандала со взломом PlayStation и восстановления поврежденных в результате землетрясения и цунами заводов, компания вынуждена, как уже сообщалось на некоторых телеканалах, "отозвать" 1 600000 телевизоров.<br /><br />И, все же, проблема не столь глобальна, как может показаться на первый взгляд и для непосвященного обывателя. Предполагаемая неисправность может возникнуть лишь в 40 дюймовых ЖК телевизорах Sony Bravia 2007 и 2008 годов выпуска: KDL-40D3400, KDL-40D3500, KDL-40D3550, KDL-40D3660, KDL-40V3000, KDL-40W3000, KDL-40X3000 и KDL-40X3500.<br /><br />При этом перевод англ. recall как «отозвать» совсем не означает, что телевизоры будут возвращены компании. Sony лишь советует покупателям этих моделей обратиться в ближайший авторизованный сервисный центр для осмотра или необходимого ремонта. Там можно получить также и дополнительную информацию о возможных проблемах.<br /><br />А поводом для данной акции послужили 11 случаев в Японии, когда из-за перегрева трансформатора оплавились некоторые пластмассовые детали в телевизоре. При этом не было сообщений о травмах людей и случаях возгорания. За пределами Японии подобных инцидентов вообще не возникало. Поэтому данные случаи можно списать даже на кратковременные проблемы в отдельных сетях энергоснабжения японских городов и на недостаточный запас прочности у отдельной партии трансформаторов. Но Sony гарантирует глобальное решение с бесплатным ремонтом телевизоров этих серий, проданных четыре года назад в Европе, США и Японии.
