Что может привести в последующем к распространению компьютерных мониторов с более высоким разрешением.<br /><br />Большинство настольных мониторов сегодня, используя соотношение сторон 16:9, имеют максимальное разрешение 2560x1600 пикселей, которое будет повышено до  4096x2304. <br /><br />4096x2304 пикселей с частотой обновления картинки в 60 Гц и 24-х битным цветом требуют скорости примерно в 20,2 Гбит / с для передачи сигнала от видеокарты к монитору. Интерфейс DisplayPort 1.2 поддерживает до 21,6 Гбит / с .<br /><br />Планирует повысить разрешение и идущая своим путем компания Apple. Сейчас мониторы Apple имеют разрешение до 3200x2000 пикселей, а следующее поколение видеографики Apple также будет обладать поддержкой 4K.
