Если ранее в качестве перспективного плана продаж фигурировала цифра в 40 млн. штук телевизоров, то теперь прогноз сокращен на 20% или в численном выражении до 32 млн. телевизоров.<br /> <br />Производители HDTV сегодня всеми силами стараются остановить потери прибылей в результате сокращения спроса. Так в апреле компания  Philips продала 70 процентную долю в своем ТВ бизнесе производителю дисплеев из Гонконга. <br /><br />В этом месяце Sony заявила, что планирует значительные потери в телевизионном сегменте в этом квартале, и снизила годовой прогноз продаж с 27 млн. телевизоров до 22 миллионов единиц. Компания ищет пути для реструктуризации своего ТВ бизнеса. <br /><br />Совсем недавно стало известно, что Hitachi прекращает производство телевизоров на японских островах, но остается на рынке с передачей производственного цикла сторонним производителям . <br /><br />LG официально не прокомментировали снижение прогноза продаж.
