Несколько парадоксальная на первый взгляд ситуация, учитывая то, что на наиболее привлекательном по объемам продаж рынке США Samsung  имеет долю 44,1% в секторе ЖК LED телевизоров и 54,5% по 3D телевизорам.<br /><br />Президент Samsung Ли Кун Хи поставил бывшего президента Samsung Electronics Квон О Хен, во главе объединенной структуры, которая теперь будет заниматься производством ЖК панелей, а также полупроводниковых чипов, телевизоров, дисплеев,  и прочей электроники. <br />
