Согласно текущих планов совместное предприятие начнет свою  деятельность с производства ЖК экранов для мобильных телефонов японской сборки и возможно для изделий Apple. В это предприятие правительство страны уже инвестировало $1,25 млрд. В случае присоединения Hitachi эта сумма удваивается до $2,5 млрд.<br /><br />Судя по последним сообщениям о скором пуске новейших заводов LG и Samsung по выпуску OLED панелей среднего и большого размера, японским компаниям придется наверстывать упущенное.<br />
