Однако после получения первых, предварительно заказанных, телевизоров были выявлены дефекты в виде «складок» на экране. Вертикальные линии расположены примерно в 1 см от левой или правой границы экрана телевизора HX923.  Вертикальные линии немного темнее, чем остальная часть изображения на экране, и были особенно заметны на однотонном цветном фоне.<br /><br />Sony официально заявила о признании наличия дефекта. Дефект будет устранен уже к поставке второй партии телевизоров. Всем, кто еще не купил заказанные телевизоры, предлагается подождать до прибытия из Японии второй партии HX923.
