Потому что очки не требуют батареек, не имеют перекрестных помех, не вызывают напряжение глаз и стоят около 1-5 долларов США. Единственным минусом технологии в данный момент является пониженное разрешение таких телевизоров в режиме 3D.<br /><br />Телевизоры семейства Cinema 3D в настоящее время представлены двумя моделями.  Наиболее дорогая 47 дюймовая 47LW6500 и более доступная 47LW5600 (европейский вариант LW550). Обе выполнены на основе системы боковой LED подсветки с локальным затемнением, относятся к классу Smart TV LG.  Однако в серии LW550 используется кадровая технология 100 Гц вместо 200 Гц в LW6500.<br /><br />LG Cinema 3D в течение этого года будет продаваться с диагональю экрана от 32 до 55 дюймов. Стоимость  47LW6500 в американских магазинах чуть менее $1000, в российских сетевых магазинах заказы принимались по цене $1500 - $2000.
