Теперь Smart телевизоры Panasonic смогут одновременно обрабатывать два потока HD видео, одновременно показывать два телеканала или можно смотреть фильм и загружать приложение из интернет. Другой особенностью этого чипа является пониженное энергопотребление при повышенной производительности.<br /><br />Видеопроцессор UniPhier MN2WS0220 работает на тактовой частоте 1,4 ГГц, выполнен на базе платформы  ARM Cortex-A9. Новый видеочип позволит значительно усовершенствовать Smart TV платформу Panasonic. Непонятно пока будут ли совместимы новые приложения  Viera Connect с телевизорами прежних моделей на основе одноядерных видеочипов. <br /><br />Panasonic планирует начать поставки первых партий новых видеочипов UniPhier на сборочные предприятия уже в конце этого месяца.<br /><br />Внедряя многоядерные чипы в свои телевизоры, Pansonic пошел по стопам другой японской компании Toshiba, которая в этом году уже представила свои многоядерные телевизоры Toshiba Cell на базе новых видеопроцессоров CEVO. <br />
