Такое решение сегодня огласил генеральный директор компании, Франс ван Хаутен. Изготовлением телевизоров под маркой Philips теперь будет заниматься совместное предприятие с TPV Technology, в котором Philips будет владеть долей в 30%. Кроме того, Philips будет получать отчисления с каждого проданного телевизора.<br /><br />В свете этих событий стоит упомянуть, что недавно Philips продала свой бизнес компьютерных мониторов, а несколько лет назад прекратила партнерство с LG по производству жидкокристаллических панелей.<br /><br />
