По итогам прошлого года Samsung по прежнему является крупнейшим производителем телевизоров (включая все типы жидкокристаллических и плазменные). По данным от американской компании ABI Research, по итогам первых трех кварталов 2010 года Samsung лидирует с почти 20 процентной долей мирового рынка продаж. Окончательные данные за четвертый квартал пока не готовы. Вслед за Samsung уверенно держится другая корейская компания – LG, отставая примерно на пять процентов.

По данным этого исследования был зафиксирован рост продаж и наиболее современных ЖК телевизоров с LED подсветкой, и традиционных с использованием в блоке подсветки люминесцентных ламп. На удивление хорошие темпы роста продаж демонстрировала плазма.

Несмотря на оснащение наиболее современных моделей множеством функций и технологий, в число которых в первую очередь входят 3D и интернет, потребители зачастую предпочитают относительно недорогие модели.
