<div align="center"><!--dle_image_begin:http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2011-03/1299693425_wd.jpg|--><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2011-03/1299693425_wd.jpg" alt="Western Digital покупает Hitachi GST" title="Western Digital покупает Hitachi GST"  /><!--dle_image_end--></div><br /><br />Американская  компания Western Digital покупает японскую Hitachi GST, которая являлась успешным подразделением корпорации Hitachi и занималась разработкой и производством жестких дисков.<br /><br />Таким образом, Western Digital теперь будет контролировать 48% мирового рынка HDD и сможет превзойти по многим показателям другого крупнейшего производителя жестких дисков и тоже американскую компанию Seagate. Например, за счет разработок Hitachi более успешно конкурировать с Seagate в сегменте твердотельных накопителей (SSD).  Кроме того японская компания разработала гибридный продукт из жесткого диска и твердотельного накопителя, который должен объединить достоинства обеих технологий – большой объем HDD и быструю запись/считывание SSD.<br /><br />Такой продукт запланирован к производству в ноябре, теперь уже под маркой Western Digital. Будет ли выгода покупателю от такой глобализации и монополизации покажет время. <br />
