Подразделение LG Display изготовило 31,1% от  произведенных всем мире в четвертом квартале прошлого года.<br /><br />Лишь часть панелей использовалась в собственных телевизорах, остальные купили прочие производители HDTV. На втором месте японская компания Sharp c 21,5% и лишь на третьем Samsung (20,8%), с брендом которого у многих ассоциировалось понятие очень тонкого LED телевизора.<br /><br />Конструировать наиболее тонкие модели удается за счет использования бокового расположения LED источников подсветки, на которую в нынешнем году перешла подавляющая часть производителей. Лишь Sharp, да LG c технологией LG Nano продолжают уделять должное внимание системе с расположением массива источников подсветки непосредственно позади экрана, так называемый полный массив (full array). <br />
